Compared to other websites, hotels on LockTrip are 20% cheaper on average - you can make sure of that for yourself! However, this does not mean that all hotels will be 20% cheaper. Certain hotels may be even more expensive on LockTrip - but some hotels are even 60% on our site!
All taxes, fees and charges are included in the price displayed on LockTrip. By default, VAT (or Sales Tax in the States) is always included.

You can request a refund if you booked a hotel where cancellation is allowed, and you have to request a refund within the time period specified in the cancellation policy. Each hotel or flight can have multiple cancellation options - all of this will be shown to you when making a booking.
To make a booking and to see prices, you need to have an account on LockTrip website. Unfortunately, because the prices on LockTrip are significantly below the industry standards, some countries restrict public disclosure of prices.
No, it is not required for you to check-in. However, it is always good to have the confirmation with you, just to be sure.
If you book a hotel that is cancellable, you will automatically get your money back after you request a cancellation. Because the situation regarding COVID-19 is unpredictable, we strongly advise you to book hotels that allows cancellation. Many customers were however also able to cancel their bookings due to COVID-19 even for reservations that do not allow cancellation, but please be aware that this is not automatically guaranteed for all bookings without a cancellation option.
